What’s new at Shannon ABC!
A huge welcome to Dr Mohsen Setayesh Mehr to Shannon ABC. Dr Mohsen Setayesh Mehr received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in chemistry from the Department of Polymer Chemistry, University of Isfahan, Iran. Subsequently, he started working as a researcher and director of the plastination laboratory in the medical school, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Iran, for five years. After that, Mohsen completed his PhD in Tissue engineering at the Iran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran, where his research focused on chondrogenesis of the adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells on the ECM derived hybrid scaffolds for cartilage tissue engineering applications. In addition, Mohsen spent eight months as a visiting researcher at MERLN Institute, Maastricht University, the Netherlands, where his research focused on cartilage bioprinting. Subsequently, Dr Setayesh Mehr joined Isfahan University of Medical Sciences as a researcher and academic staff member in 2019. Meanwhile, he has worked on several projects, including cartilage and bone tissue engineering, 3D printing and bioprinting.
Dr Setayesh Mehr joined Shannon ABC in 2022 where here holds the position of postdoctoral researcher. His primary research focuses on vascularity affinity precursor (VAP) structure for musculoskeletal tissue healing with PBC BioMed and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, project targeting solutions for avascular necrosis. Dr Setayesh Mehr specializes in scaffolds design and characterization, mammalian cell culture and in vitro and in vivo screening for novel scaffolds bioactivity.
